Marking
The pattern is chalked directly on the cloth; the line is a promise, never a guess.
Cutting
One pass of the shears. A second pass admits the first was wrong.
Finishing
Horn buttons are matched by grain, then attached with a shank of silk.

The Maison
We work at the north window, where the light tells the truth about black. A coat begins as a rumour on paper and ends as a second body — measured five times, sewn by hand, and never quite finished until it is worn.
